In Italy for Christmas one of the things that can’t really miss in any house is the panettone. Panettone is a type of sweet bread loaf originally from Milan. I have posted some photos to show different types of panettone.

I do like the idea of this infographic but also think that could be more accurate. It says that Parmesan cheese abound in Southern Italy. Better known as Parmigiano Reggiano it is named after the producing areas near Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna e Mantova (all these are cities in North Italy).

I don’t really know if I should call it risotto or paella..
I know that Italians will never put together chicken, courgettes and mussels in a risotto so maybe better to call it paella :-)
Quick and easy to make:
bruschetta with tomatoes, oil, oregano and salt
mozzarella
parmigiano reggiano
prosciutto crudo
so quick to make (around 10 min..)
fresh spaghetti
mussels
peeled cherry tomatoes
extra virgin olive oil
garlic
Calzoni are similar to panzerotti but are bigger and are cooked in the oven.
